 Aprann
ENL Foundation launched the employability project, “Aprann” in early March 2020. The aim of this initiative funded by HSBC Mauritius is to help untrained and unqualified people learn specific skills and become employable.
The project consists of three phases:
X The Capacity Building Programme seeks to identify and turn participants’ weaknesses into strengths.
X Skills Development & Vocational Training helps participants find training in a public or private organisation to learn a trade.
X Placement & On-the-Job Training to help the beneficiaries secure a work placement and possibly a paid job.
Over 60 beneficiaries aged 16 to 50 years old
from vulnerable areas are currently enrolled in this programme, including around 20 women.
A first session took place in the second week of August 2020 at the Mount Ory Community Centre. ENL Group subsidiaries and other companies
will be contacted to provide internships to the beneficiaries during the project’s third phase. P
