Moka Showroom: The city at a glance
X There is only one place to go to discover the full potential of Moka and better understand the smart city’s vision. Located in the Telfair neighbourhood since late 2020, the Moka Showroom has been welcoming professionals and individuals who want to project themselves into the future city as prospective buyers or tenants.
An eight-metre-long model sits in the middle of the room. People can figure out the layout of the entire region and how its different parts connect with each other. With a bistro on premises, the Moka Showroom can even change into a place to interact over a cup of coffee or lunch. Come and have a look!
Open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. P
Choosing the right type of urban furniture for Moka
X Like a house, a city needs to be furnished for the comfort of its residents. Every detail is thoughtfully considered in the development of Moka Smart City, from benches to lights, bins, playgrounds, anti-parking bollards, bicycle racks, security cameras, water fountains and signage.
The design of a city has a direct impact on how it connects to its users. For example, the installation of recycled glass benches and creation of playgrounds to stop and spend time contribute to the quality of life of a neighbourhood. Water fountains and rubbish bins are provided to encourage good habits. Bicycle racks are required in places where soft mobility is given preference.
Safety is also carefully considered. Light fittings cover the city and its streets; security cameras watch over strategic crossroads; and anti-parking bollards protect pedestrian crossings.
Finally, road signs and street names are provided to help you find your way around Moka. P
