New Born:
finding your way through
artistic mediation
The goal of New Born is to deliver innovative therapies to improve the well-being of people of all ages and physical conditions. Located on Royal Road in Moka, this not-for-profit social enterprise comprises a multidisciplinary team of certified therapists who use alternative techniques in their practice – through art, dance, theatre, play, nature- or animal-based mediation. In addition to individual support, group workshops (led by therapists) are also available. Additionally, alongside
its paid activities, New Born also promotes social links in partnership with NGOs and through CSR projects. An initiative with a heart!
live dan Moka:
a new musical experience in the heart of the city
The new Live dan Moka concert series offers an immersive experience for music lovers from all backgrounds! These events are set to become cultural pillars of the region, with the aim to showcase quality local performers and regularly bring music enthusiasts in Moka together in a delightful setting.
“We want to shine the spotlight on the area’s iconic heritage sites and public spaces while providing a platform for musicians. Each new edition of Live dan Moka will offer a unique experience to the audience, with exciting opportunities for discovery in a welcoming setting,” says Moka Smart City’s Arts and Culture Manager, Mathieu Pigeot.
The initiative is hosted in partnership with Awanam, with a lively programme each time, bringing together an established artist and an emerging talent in a vibrant mix of musical styles. The first edition in early 2023 at Eureka featured Philippe Thomas and Shekina Mootanah. Following editions have brought together Anne Ga and Ophélie Sauteur, as well as Patyatann and Sarah Honoré. Keep an eye on our social media for future editions of this event!
