X TheFrenchbrand,Decathlonhasbeenofferinganextensivecalendar of events to Mauritians since July 2021, including an introduction to rollerblading, archery, Zumba sessions and free consultations with health professionals. The goal is to democratise sports for all ages while emphasising the well-being of body and mind.
This initiative has been designed for everyone and the coaches, professionals and top-level athletes adapt to the needs and abilities of the participants. The 500m2 Playground located outside the store regularly welcomes participants. This multi-purpose area features two basketball hoops and two soccer goals, which are popular with young people. “It’s a good opportunity to try out sports that we never thought we would play. For example, the introduction to archery has allowed many people to discover a new passion,” says Decathlon’s Digital Communication Leader, Elisa Colimalay.
