                                               A high-energy and upbeat workout, it allows you to burn excess calories in no time. Designed for dance, music and sports enthusiasts, Pound is the rock star of fitness that comes straight out of California!
Putting the fun back into sport
Pound was developed in 2011 by Kirsten Potenza and Cristina Peerenboom, two Californian women with a passion for sports and percussion. This complete and intense workout combines cardio, fitness and weight training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements as well as the contagious fun
of playing drums. Pound is a workout using Ripstix – which look like a drummer’s sticks.
Oh yes, Pound allows you to work out your muscles and burn calories (up to 900 kcal in an hour) while having fun!

The Moka’mwad collective brings you this brand-new workout free of charge in Moka. Beginning in November 2020, it is an opportunity for you to meet new people, let off some steam and release all your tension.

Compulsory registration on mokamwad.mu. Places are limited per session.

 About the coach
Karen holds Pound Pro and Generation Pound Pro certifications from South Africa. She honed her coaching skills in Europe. She also holds a BA in Psychology and recognises the importance of self-care, not only on a physical level, but also on a mental and emotional level. She wants to use Pound to promote self-expression and self-esteem while overcoming the barriers that prevent us from becoming a better and more authentic version of ourselves.
