Construction of a new road in Telfair
This road inaugurated in August 2020 will bring even greater connectivity, running from the future city centre of Moka Smart City to the A7 road and adding a third entrance to the neighbourhood. This main avenue previously allowed access only from the Saint Pierre Bypass Road. Telfair is now more accessible with this extension running up to the A7 roundabout. A walking and cycling path has also been set up to ease access to the bus stop in front of the MGI and promote soft mobility within the city. The developments will delight people living and working in Telfair as well as motorists who are always looking for more convenience. P

Provision of drains and sidewalks
Helvétia
Moka Smart City is working with the Road Development Authority (RDA) on a rainwater drainage project along the B48 (Côte d’Or) road at Les Allées d’Helvétia.
The provision of sidewalk drains will considerably reduce the risk of flooding in the area during heavy rainfall and provide much relief for the area’s residents. A zebra crossing will also be installed to make traffic safer for pedestrians. Work is scheduled to be completed by December 2020. P
Minissy Road
The District Council of Moka has installed in 2019 a sidewalk along Minissy Road, which leads to the Charles Telfair Campus from the A7 road. This project meets safety requirements for the latter’s students and nearby residents. P
