 The weather station
is moving
The Mauritius Meteorological Services have decided in collaboration with Moka Smart City to relocate their weather station from Vivéa Business Park to Lycée des Mascareignes in 2021. Students will be able to use this educational tool to learn about
the weather and measuring instruments like the anemometer, barometer and rain gauge. For this purpose, a building will be built next to the football ground with a 15 m2 integrated classroom to enhance the teaching experience.
Brand-new changing rooms
Making the most of this opportunity, this same building will be used to create new sports changing rooms and a storage facility. The new infrastructure will be made available to the Lycée’s students and Moka Rangers Sports Club members, especially football players.
Other facilities may ultimately be provided, including a refreshment bar and an arena. P

Enlargement of the road at the entrance of Courchamps
The B48 (Côte d’Or) road has been enlarged to include a third lane on each side a few metres before reaching Courchamps. This development will improve public safety and allow traffic to flow smoothly at the entrance to the neighbourhood. The new lane is intended only for motorists wishing to enter the Courchamps neighbourhood. This initiative is part of the area’s development plan and will avoid causing obstruction to other motorists who want to go straight ahead. P
