Brownfields turned into shared gardens
For some time now, the Moka’mwad collective has been wanting to create shared gardens in Moka. This project should take shape soon in partnership with the Moka District Council. Moka’mwad’s idea behind creating a lively social space is to provide a lasting solution to brownfields, which represent a nuisance for the neighbours. Associations and green-fingered citizens will have the opportunity to cultivate these pieces of land to promote interaction.
The project will also provide for concrete involvement of the owners of these brownfields in an environmentally friendly and civic activity. We
are happy to extend our all-out support to this beautiful initiative!
To contribute to this beautiful project, please contact the Moka’mwad collective by email: [email protected]
E-scooters arrive on the streets of Moka!
X Moka is providing companies and residents of the smart city
with e-scooters developed by the Canada-based company,
Apollo Scooters. They guarantee the best quality worldwide and their batteries can be charged using mains power. They can replace cars for short trips, thus reducing the impact of exhaust emissions like carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide on the planet. ENL’s employees already have access to nine self-service e-scooters since October. They are a fun and greener way to get to the malls and other facilities around town. The latter will be equipped with suitable parking spaces for safer use. The Promenade can also be used to move from one neighbourhood to another or simply ride around the city. It currently runs from Telfair to Helvétia and will soon extend to L’Avenir. Kindly contact Mr. Boullé on 404 89 00 to get one of the four models available, with their 35 km to 80 km autonomy range.
