EFE3D label (Établissement français à l’étranger en démarche de développement durable)
This year, at least 735 students of all nationalities are in their last three years of schooling at Lycée des Mascareignes (LDM). They enjoy an international exposure that prepares them for the 2024 French Baccalaureate and recently introduced French International Baccalaureate (BFI), a direct competitor to the International Baccalaureate (IB).
Beyond academic learning, LDM was recently awarded the “Génération 2024” label ahead of Olympic Games
in Paris, after receiving the EFE3D label granted to French international schools committed to sustainable development. Its Sports Excellence Section (SES)/ RM Academy of Sport supports 82 young athletes in 20 Olympic disciplines in their pursuit of excellence.
As the first Multi-Sport Olympic Academy in the Indian Ocean and Africa, the SES is also recognised as an “Inclusive Sports Academy

in Africa”, a programme supported by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Play International, Diambars Institute and FIFA.
Last but not least, the school is in the process of achieving the SUNREF label for its gender equality, gender empowerment and sustainable development educational programme.
