Decathlon Night Run:
A unique urban running experience
The second edition of the Moka Decathlon
Night Run took place in an electric atmosphere on Saturday 5th August 2023. A total of 1,300 enthusiastic participants set off on this unique route through Moka to discover the city by night. There were also plenty of surprises along the
way. Light arches adorned La Promenade, the Decathlon store was transformed into a nightclub for the evening and fire-eaters and sega dancers welcomed participants at the entrance to the Bassin Canard tunnel. Some of them even won prizes in a draw organised by the sports retailer.
The third edition is scheduled for November 2024, when the weather is supposed to be close to perfect!
New signage coming soon in Moka
Phase 2 of Moka Smart City’s directional signage project is about to start in order to enhance the comfort of road users! Development of the L’Avenir neighbourhood and construction of new road infrastructure have obviously sped things up and the call for tenders is being finalised. Additional signage will soon be available to give safe directions to people in Moka, with the installation of around a hundred new signs in the smart city as from the beginning of 2024.
