Moka Smart City adds new
public waste sorting bins
X TwelverecyclingcontainersfromtheFinnishbrand, Molok are now publicly available at four voluntary drop-off points within Moka Smart City to promote waste sorting. They have been installed at the entrance of
Vivéa Business Park, in front of Synergy in Helvétia, opposite the new Shell filling station in Telfair and in the residential neighbourhood of Courchamps. There are three containers at each site to collect recyclable waste such as paper
and cardboard, glass, plastic and aluminium. Explanatory signage and labels have been placed
to help and guide users.
The Molok brand was a natural
choice due to the many features
of the containers, such as their
high capacity, which allows both
to compact more waste under
their own weight and requires less frequent collection – thus reducing costs and collection vehicles’ CO2 emissions. 60% of the Molok containers is underground, with lower temperatures that reduce odours released by the waste. In addition, each container is equipped with IoT (Internet of Things) sensors that signal their fill rate to Green Ltd to help them plan waste collection more efficiently.
