Macbeth Architects & Designers was established 35 years ago. The architecture and interior design firm shares the vision of Vivéa Business Park and decided to move there in 2016. “There are many creative businesses in Moka and we find the setting really dynamic! We also had the chance to develop our own office, which was a vital step in the company’s growth,” says the founder and director, Alistair Macbeth.

CIRCUS! was founded in Moka in 1995 and moved back to its hometown in 2011 after a spell in Floreal.
“At the time, some people told us that we were crazy not to set up our offices in Port Louis,” says the Managing Director of the integrated communications agency, Vincent Montocchio. “But CIRCUS! was born and raised in Moka. Coming back here was almost natural. This city is at the very core of life in Mauritius and that’s precisely what we were looking for as a local agency.” CIRCUS! continues to thrive in the midst of nature and business centres, away from the hustle and bustle and yet close to its clients.

PHOSPHORE PHOTO STUDIO, STEEPED IN MOKA
Phosphore Photo Studio has been operating in Telfair since 2004, offering portrait, food, fashion, lifestyle and event photography services. “I was born, raised and went to school in Moka – between the sugarcane fields, rivers and mountains. My childhood town is an endless source of inspiration,” says the company’s director and photographer, Blue Ramdial. He definitely wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
