The free workshops held by Moka Smart City in conjunction with The Repair Collective are back. They welcome everyone and will give you new ideas for reuse, upcycling and much more every month! Below are some examples of available workshops.
            1. Basic Sewing & Textile Repairs
Learn the basics of hand and machine sewing to repair your clothing and textile items. Please bring along a damaged or torn garment for repair during the workshop.
2. Natural Dyes
What can you do with kitchen leftovers like onions and avocados? During this workshop focused on the art of eco- friendly dyeing, you will find out how to use them to give a second life to your stained or discoloured clothes!
                  About this initiative
These workshops demonstrate that repairing things can be fun and are aimed at raising awareness and sharing the joy of recycling. They are already attracting a community of people from different backgrounds who want to learn, discover and share their views on
an issue that affects our everyday lives: the overexploitation of our natural resources. Smart and practical tips are provided to address the throwaway culture and enable us all to learn new skills while unleashing our creativity!
3. Denim Repairs
A master class on denim will help you make the right choice by developing an expert eye to identify the most eco-friendly ones. You will also learn different techniques for repairing or successfully upcycling your denims.
Stay tuned to our social media, where we will soon release new workshop dates.
