Moka Smart City invites the people who truly make Telfair the vibrant heart of Moka to share their thoughts on this emerging city centre.

Benjamin Lekh, Zumba Instructor at the Amphitheatre

I teach Zumba classes twice a week at the Amphitheatre and I absolutely love this green space right in the heart of the city! The classes cater are perfect for today’s fitness enthusiasts, who appreciate the outdoor space and fresh air. Unlike indoor sessions, our Zumba classes unfold against the stunning backdrop of the Moka mountain range, often bathed in sunlight.

It’s also a family-friendly spot, where participants can bring their children to play nearby while keeping an eye on them. In addition to being free and easily accessible, these sessions are ideal for unwinding after a long day at work. On Saturday mornings, participants can venture into the cafés along Telfair La Promenade for some well-deserved ‘me-time’!

Our decision to settle in Telfair was based on several key factors, including its convenient location for our staff and the modern, functional space that supports our growing team. It was also important to have a central, modern and easily accessible office to welcome our clients.

Since moving to Telfair, we have found that this central location places us at the heart of the island, making travel much easier. We are also surrounded by a wealth of amenities and entertainment, creating a pleasant and dynamic work environment. Finally, Telfair’s well-maintained surroundings enhance our professional image, providing an ideal work setting that significantly boosts the productivity and well-being of our team.

Our opening on 19 June was the perfect opportunity to embark on this new adventure in Moka. The Telfair project captivated us with its unique lifestyle, inspiring us to create a healthy yet indulgent menu that is already proving popular among city centre stakeholders. It’s rewarding to be part of this vibrant neighbourhood from the beginning and to witness its evolution. The area is gradually attracting more people, whether office workers looking for a snack during the week or residents coming for breakfast on a Saturday morning. And we are delighted to get to know them all! Moka’s friendly and welcoming spirit has even encouraged us to open a second location at Vivéa Business Park in early September.

Ariel Lamothe, Founder of Stage’In, which assisted in the creation of L’Atrium

L’Atrium was designed with the innovative spirit of Stage’In, blending seamlessly into the unique and vibrant neighbourhood of Telfair. Beyond its central and easily accessible location from every corner of the island, Telfair enjoys all the benefits of Moka Smart City, with a modern and elegant setting that is perfect for memorable professional events. The thoughtful city planning also ensures ample parking.

With the capacity to host up to 600 people for  variety of events, L’Atrium draws inspiration from similar structures in the USA. We have adapted this unique concept for Mauritius, evoking the charm of covered markets or the orange groves of a château, all while embracing Moka’s beautiful scenery.
