The Open-Air Cinema will be back for a third edition in Moka Smart City on 19 March 2021: an unmissable event for a great time with family and friends!

The Telfair amphitheatre will rock with laughter on 19 March! Complimentary and open to all, the Open-Air Cinema is a 100% annual local event that is making a great comeback after being postponed in 2020 because of Covid-19.

An open-air screening of the Komiko troupe’ latest feature film, Heritaz will take place from 7pm to 9pm. Some members of this Mauritian comedy club will be in attendance before the screening: an opportunity for their fans to get close to these local comedy stars!

“The aim of this Moka Smart City initiative is to allow Mauritians to discover local cinematographic works, showcase the work of local talent, and above all bring the city to life while expanding leisure activities available through this type of events for the entire family,” enthuses Moka Smart City’s Events Manager, Ketty Lim Ka Lan. Moreover, Moka Smart City was a major sponsor of the film: the most discerning eyes will notice that Heritaz was filmed at a number of locations around the Moka region!

Komiko’s third feature film recounts the story of a dying wealthy farmer who asks his son to find his three grandchildren, whom he had previously disowned. The question is whether they will be able to forgive their authoritarian grandfather.

You are all welcome for an exciting open-air cinema experience on 19 March that will put stars in your eyes and a smile on your face!
