There is no stopping the Moka Trail, and not even the health crisis has been able to stop it! The event is back this year to the delight of sports enthusiasts, with a lighter version for the safety of all participants. This ninth edition will be open to a maximum of 500 participants, who will start in groups of 50 runners every 15 minutes in order to limit interaction and thus to avoid any health risk. Moreover, the event will feature only the two flagship races this year – the 14km Petit Both and the 28km Grand Pouce – with a new starting point in Beau Bois.

Le Petit Both – 14 km

This demanding race will be held in a breathtaking setting, taking participants through a spectacular pass between Le Pouce and Pieter Both Mountains. An exciting event through unspoilt nature for a thrilling experience!

Le Grand Pouce – 28 km

This race is open to more experienced athletes and is THE Moka Trail’s main event. It is an exciting technical challenge for participants and a test for their motivation and endurance!

The Moka Trail promotes human relationships based on simplicity, friendliness, sharing and respect for differences. The event has been able to count on the invaluable support of two sponsors this year: ENL and Decathlon. “Despite the health crisis, we really wanted to organise this popular sporting event with all runners on the island. This new format will enable us to keep everyone safe while maintaining the fun side of the race! However, we advise runners to register at the earliest since we can only accommodate 500 of them while there are normally some 2,500 participants every year!” says Moka Smart City’s Event Manager, Ketty Lim Ka Lan, commenting about the organisation of this major event.
