It’s finally Friday! Stacy is geared up to kickstart the last day of the week on the right foot. The dozen items on her to-do list don’t faze her – quite the contrary, since she works in Moka.

✔️ Leaving the house

The usual 7am rush. Noah’s terrible twos struck again – he spilled cereal all over his T-shirt. I had to change him, but everything’s back in order. He’s buckled into his car seat with his backpack. 

✔️ Deciding the best path and dropping Noah off at the nursery

Off we go from Curepipe to the Ti’Pouce nursery, near my office at Vivéa Business Park. But which way is best? I want to arrive by 8am to say goodbye to my little one and get a head start on the day. The M1 motorway, through A7 road, would take me through Ebène, but it’s always jammed. Instead, I’ll go through Côte d’Or, with a direct connection to Moka from the M3 motorway. Phew! 

It's 7.45am. I have time to hug Noah and have a peek at his drawings before leaving. His colourful scribbles are all the motivation I need for the day !

✔️ Starting my workday

It’s 8am when I reach the parking area. By 8.05am, I’m at my desk, happy to have (almost) managed to start on time. I make myself a coffee to kickstart the day. I love the large bay windows, flooding the office with natural light. I plan out the day’s tasks while soaking up some vitamin D and occasionally admiring the view outside. 

✔️ Running errands

Uh oh, it’s 11.45am and I need to rush; we are out of chocolate chips and honey for Saturday morning pancakes! Luckily, I’m having lunch with colleagues at Les Allées shopping centre in Helvétia. I still have time to grad everything and arrive on time to order. 

Finally! All week, I’ve been craving the bistronomy experience at L’Ardoise. A beautiful entrecôte for me, please, but hold the dessert – the day is far from over. Just an espresso to keep me going.

✔️ Last meeting of the week

Back in the conference room at the office. A few more hours of focus to wrap up a productive week in style and prepare for Monday to fully enjoy the weekend. 

✔️ Dropping Noah off with my husband

Tonight is girls’ night out! After leaving Port Louis, Damien meets me at Telfair Amphitheatre to pick up Noah. Time for my long-awaited reunion with my friends. 

✔️ Quick cardio with friends

I’m already in my workout gear. Nothing like a quick jog along La Promenade with Priya and Farheen to unwind before hitting the town. 

✔️ Swinging with Live dan Moka

A quick stop at Priya’s place in Helvétia to freshen up and get a beauty makeover for the evening. It‘s 6.45pm, laughter and chatter fill the car as we head to Les Kocottes for the Live dan Moka event. We arrive a few minutes before the concert starts, just in time to order pizza from Yo l’Artisan. The artists take the stage – a perfect end to a perfect week!
