Cuisine à Point, the new hotspot for foodies in Moka

The main restaurant delivers a range of flavours inspired by world cuisine, says the chef and co-owner, Arvind Bundhun. He is actually among the youngest members of the Atelier International des Chefs. His eight years of work experience and such an honour have allowed him to come up with a combination of technique and creativity. “I took inspiration from Australia, a cosmopolitan country that brings together cuisines from around the world, inspiring surprisingly delicious fusions. And we chose Moka because the city gives us the impression of a melting pot where the multicultural people of Mauritius and expatriates from various countries live and work. We wanted to highlight this diversity through our concept and menu,” he adds.

There is a variety of options, including an Italian burger with mozzarella burrata, Mauritian classics such as the revisited version of the octopus salad and premium meats like Angus beef. The relaxed atmosphere and bistronomic cuisine make this restaurant a great place to get together with colleagues, family or friends to fully enjoy the culinary arts.

CHEW – Healthy eating on the go

The chef used his innovative vision to look further into the quality of life of a smart city and drive forward the idea of healthy eating, or how to eat healthily and quickly during a lunch break. This spurred him to add CHEW to his restaurant. This healthy and affordable food bar concept invites busy professionals to create a delicious lunch to go.

• “C” is for carbohydrates;
• “H” is for hot, or protein;
• “E” is the desire to turn the reaction to vegetables from “ew!” to “yum!”; and
• “W” is for wet, or sauces.

These are four essentials for a hearty, balanced lunch the CHEW way. Baguettes, wraps and pitas are served with marlin, lamb, chicken, prawns and colourful vegetables, with a choice of 12 home-made sauces!
